VBS Set up dates are June 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, 2018 from 9:30-3:30 –  VBS is June 11-15, 2018. Volunteer leaders and helpers are needed for the following: Group Leaders – Crafts – Group Assistants
  
CONGREGATIONAL MEETING will be held May 20 following a potluck at noon. Members are asked to bring a dish to share. Desserts will be provided by the board of directors. All are encouraged to attend. Babysitting will be provided.
 
WIRED WORD SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS: Sunday’s Wired Word topic will be “Conroy No Longer Has a Prayer of Being House Chaplain, but Police Pray in Public for Individuals”.  This class is held in the library and weaves current events with Biblical study. Join them as they explore current events each and every week.

Get ready for Club 345’s Silly String and Water War on May 12th from 1:30-3:00 p.m. All third, fourth and fifth graders (and their friends!) are welcome to join in on the fun! Please tell DCE Intern Myrthe if you are planning to attend this fun afternoon.

PRESCHOOL SUMMER CAMP for K-3rd grade is open for registration. The camp will be held from June 1-August 3. Call the ECC office for fees and availability.
 
BRAILLE WORKSHOP is May 14 at Our Savior at 9:00.
SENIOR FRIENDS will not meet in May due to other church events and holidays.
OWLS will meet on May 24 at 11:30 at Incredible Pizza. There is a sign-up sheet.
RECYCLING: Due to changing guidelines, the LWML will no longer be accepting any recycling of ink cartridges, etc.
 
LOVE GATHERING for ECC will take place during the month of May. Donations of kleenix, paper towels and non-scented wipes can be placed in the buckets in the narthex. Many thanks for your donations to our program.

Summer Sunday School Volunteers Needed! From June– August, Children’s Sunday School will be held in the gym.  Each week we need 4 volunteers to lead stations. If you’re interested in more information or would like to volunteer, please check out the display in the narthex as well as DCE Intern Myrthe. 

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER APPRECIATION: May 20 will be the last Sunday for regular Sunday School. If your family would like to show any form of appreciation to those teachers, please do so on that day. Our summer classes will begin June 3. The Sunday School teachers are…

GRADUATES: Students graduating from high school or college should turn in their bio information to Connie at the church office no later than May 15 for the next newsletter.
 
RETIREMENT RECEPTION honoring Norma Muller will be held May 27 during the Sunday school hour. Norma has served as organist at CTR for 10 years. Please join us in expressing our blessings to her as she retires. There will be a basket for cards.

JACOB DRENGLER has accepted the position of music director. He will begin work in early August.
 
CENSUS CARD: All families are asked to fill out the card insert in the bulletin and place it in the offering plate or the box located on the altar in the fellowship hall.
 
MARK YOUR CALENDARS for TWO summer Family and Children’s Ministry programs. On June 23, Club 345 will be welcoming our new Intern Carinna to a day in the park. All current second, third, fourth and fifth grades and their families are welcome to attend. On July 28, FCM will host a Family Fun Day for all families to hang out and have some fun on the front lawn of church! More information about both of these events will come in the following weeks.
