Peace Choir: K-2nd Grade – Sunday, 9:35 AM (September-July)
This children’s choir meets during the Sunday school hour on alternating Sunday mornings and introduces children to a wide variety of Christian music. In addition to singing, the students often incorporate various world percussion instruments as they explore sacred music from many backgrounds. Through participation in this ensemble, children will also learn how to be active participants in worship services.
Praise Ringers: 3rd-5th Grade – Sunday, 10:15 AM (September-July)
This children’s chime ensemble rehearses during the Sunday school hour on alternating Sunday mornings.
Basic music literacy skills are introduced in conjunction with a focus on the liturgy and hymns which form the core of the musical repertoire sung during worship at Christ the Redeemer. Vocal music is included regularly as a means of further encouraging engaged participation in worship services.
Harmonia Deum: 6th-8th Grade – Sunday, 10:15 AM (September-July)
This ensemble for junior high students meets during the Sunday school hour on alternating Sunday mornings. The students learn to play a wide variety of handbell literature. In addition, students who also study keyboard, brass, woodwind, string, or percussion instruments are often invited to share those gifts, allowing Harmonia Deum to study a broad repertoire of sacred music.
Sanctuary Choir: high school – adults – Wednesday, 7 PM (September-May) The Sanctuary Choir sings in worship services regularly throughout the Church year. This choir supports and encourages the congregational singing of hymns, psalms, and the liturgy. They also provide special musical offerings, drawing from the rich heritage of sacred choral music from the Christian church around the world, and throughout the centuries. No prior choral experience is necessary. We would love to have you sing with us!
Handbells: Agape Ringers: junior high – adults – Sunday, 12 PM (September-May)
This handbell ensemble provides music during worship services throughout the Church year. A variety of handbell literature, including hymn settings, classical transcriptions, and choral accompaniments are utilized. Prior ringing experience is not necessary, although some music reading ability is helpful. New members are welcome at any time.
Youth Band: junior high – high school students – Wednesday, 5 PM (September-May)
The youth praise band is open to any junior high or high school student with an interest in singing or playing guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, or percussion instruments. This ensemble performs repertoire which encompasses the best of modern praise and worship styles, as well as world music and new arrangements of many of the great hymns which have comprised the song of the Church throughout the centuries.
Instrumentalists: junior high-adult Instrumentalists provide musical leadership in our worship services throughout the year. Musical contributions by soloists or ensembles include instrumental pieces,  choral accompaniment, and supporting congregational singing through inventive hymn settings.
