THANKSGIVING EVE SERVICE  with Holy Communion will be held on November 23 at 6:30.

December 7 – Carols and Lessons
 December 14 – Children’s Christmas Program
 
CTR-U will continue with the 5:30-6:30 activities.
 Meals will be at 6:00. 
LAST WEEK TO SIGN UP FOR THE CHRISTMAS EVENT  hosted by Parish Life on December 11 at 5:00 at the Glenpool Convention Center. There will be dinner and entertainment by Tulsa Metro Sound. Childcare will be provided for children 10 and under. Parents are asked to provide a sack dinner for them. We are limited to 112 attendees. Tickets are $15 per person and go on sale in early November so mark your calendar now and plan to join us! Payment should be made at the ticket table.
 

LWML CHRISTMAS DINNER for all women will be Tuesday, December 6 at 6:00 p.m. at CTR. The dinner, catered by Ludger’s, will cost $16.00/person. Tickets will go on sale in November. We will be “Unwrapping the Names of Jesus” and hope you will join us! Please bring a gift of diapers, wipes, or baby clothes (smaller than 4T) to be donated to Crisis Pregnancy Outreach. If anyone wishes to attend but needs a ride, please contact Sharon Schmidt at 405-605-9518.

HANDEL’S MESSIAH: December 3 & 4 at 5 & 7:30 pm at First Lutheran (13th & Utica).
 
CHURCH DECORATING: The Elders and Altar Guild members will be decorating the church for Christmas on Monday, November 28, at 6:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to come and join in preparing the church for the Hanging of the Greens Service on November 30 and for the holiday season. Pizza will be served. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Bernie Zanter or Wanda Radke.
 
HOLIDAY CRAFT FAIR – Thursday, December 1 – 5:00-7:00 PM at CTR: Come enjoy fellowship and fun as you shop with your friends for the holidays. Find some of your favorite brands and other items from local craftsmen. Everyone is welcome. So come on over and bring some friends! Childcare available for children under 8.
 

SUNDAY SCHOOL SPONSORS: Would you like to recognize, encourage and support our Sunday School teachers and students on a regular basis?  If so, please consider being a “Sunday School Sponsor” beginning January through April, 2017. Privileges of sponsorship include (but not limited to):  praying for students and teachers, thank you cards to teachers, notes to students, sharing favorite Bible passages, giving small gifts such as bookmarks, etc. to students, doing something special for the teachers, providing little treats for the students.  Keep it simple.  Try to do something every 4-6 weeks.  We especially encourage grandparents, singles, couples, young adults, and retirees to participate and give the parents a break.  If you would like to sponsor a class, please check in the narthex for the Sunday School Sponsor sign-up sheet. (If you have any questions, contact a Board of Education member – Diane Fager, Stephanie Loseke, Barbara Sprunger.)
 
CTR & LWML WORKDAY to sort and package recycled items as listed in the bulletin will be this Tuesday, November 22, at 10:00 in the fellowship hall. Contact Carol Fruehling with questions (918-805-1604).

CRAFT CLASS FOR NOVEMBER

will be a nativity banner. The cost of the class will be $5.00 and will be held on November 9 at 5:30. There is a limit of 12 participants for this class. If you have a pair of fabric scissors, please bring them. Sign up and enjoy this banner as part of your home decorations over Christmas.
