GOOD FRIDAY MEDITATION  will be held at Grace (5th & Lewis) from 7-6 pm. Drop in anytime. A devotional guide on the Stations of the Cross will be available as you focus on the hanging banners depicting the Passion of Christ.

EASTER BREAKFAST: 
Celebrate the Resurrection with us on Easter Sunday! The CTR Youth and their families invite you to an Easter Sunday breakfast from 9 AM-10:30 AM. Where: Fellowship Hall. All donations will help support the youth attending the 2017 Summer Servant Trip to Colorado and the 2019 National Youth Gathering in Minneapolis.
 
EASTER FAMILY EVENT:  At The Great Surprise, kids and their families will experience hands-on fun with a variety of surprising activities. Through these WOW experiences, everyone discovers the amazing surprise that Jesus is alive! Easter Sunday, April 16,  9:30-10:30 Join us for The Great Surprise in the Gym followed by the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Everyone is welcome! If you would like to volunteer to assist with either event, please contact Teri King.

please get your bio information to the church office no later than April 20 to be included in the May newsletter.
 
BUNKO  will be April 18 at 7:00 at the church with hostess, Diane Morlock. There is a sign up sheet.
 
ACOLYTE SCHEDULE  is posted at the south entrance for the summer months. Please sign up for 2-3 Sundays.
 
ECC/YOUTH GARAGE SALE – April 21-22 – Clean out your closets and help these groups with their fundraiser!! They will take all your unwanted appliances, furniture, Knick Knacks, Kitchen Ware, Electronics, Toys, Baby items & anything else You may want to give! Please no adult clothing only baby & children’s items. Questions? Contact Nikki Witt or DCE Suzanne Watt. Items donated for the garage sale can be brought to the youth room beginning April 10 and no later than April 19 at 5:00.
 
EVANGELISM PROJECT:  Mark your calendar for April 19th at 5:30! Evangelism is partnering with Tulsa Youth Works who empowers elementary school children and teens in North Tulsa to serve their community, become physically fit, improve reading skills, and develop into the leaders God made them to be! Come hear about the program and eat delicious pizza prepared by the kids from Youth Works! They will be taking orders for more fresh pizza that you can bake at home. These pizzas will be delivered the next Wednesday, April 26th at 5:30.
 
LWML SPRING FLING  is April 22 at Grace Lutheran from 9-1:00. Registration of $10 is due by April 15.  Make checks out to LWML and send to Susan Postier, Grace Lutheran Church, 2331 E 5th Pl., Tulsa, 74104.
 
DCE INTERN:  Our intern is Myrthe Harkenrider from Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She will be coming to Tulsa the first of June. Her installation is scheduled for June 11 during both services. There will be a reception and pantry shower held in her honor on the 11th at 9:30. Further information regarding the shower and the items needed will be coming soon. Please mark your calendar and plan to join us as we welcome her to CTR.
 
CONFIRMATION SUNDAY  will be April 30 during the late service. The confirmands are Amelia Stamm and Davey Cline. Parish Life will host a reception in their honor at 9:30. All members are invited to attend. There will be a collection basket for cards.
 
LAY MINISTRY REPORTS  for the congregational packet are due May 1 for the meeting be de held on May 21. Please email them to Connie no later than that date.
 
FOURTH SUNDAY FOOD DRIVE  for South Tulsa Community House is next Sunday. Drop your donations off at the south entrance.
 
VBS REGISTRATION: When registering your child for VBS, please note that the class they will be registering for is the grade that they just completed in school (not the grade they will be going in to).
 
CTR-U CRAFT CLASS:  For those who signed up for the craft class, please remember that we will meet on April 19 & 26 at 5:30.
 
PERSONAL CARE KITS  will be the LWR emphasis through the end of May. Check out the display in the narthex that will be set up the end of April and pick up a list of items needed. 4 oz soap bars are especially needed. Questions…call Lynne Kollock.
 
YOUTH BRANSON TRIP:  On June 2-4 we will be taking a weekend trip to Branson and visit Silver Dollar City theme park. This event is open to youth who have completed 6th-12th grades in May 2017.  Transportation, hotel, meals, and admission to the park are all included! Yes, friends are invited too! Leave from CTR on Friday around 5:00 PM (or earlier if possible) Return to CTR on Sunday around 5:00 PM. We are booked to stay at the Cliffs Resort Condos we stayed in 2 years ago adjacent to Silver Dollar City. Sign up Mar 15-May 1 Cost is $100. 
 
SOUTH TULSA COMMUNITY HOUSE:  We are in great need of just about everything “canned,” as well as other proteins such as dried beans, peanut butter, meat based soups. We also need clean and labels removed prescription bottles which we use to distribute shampoo, body wash/soap and the like. They request that you not donate any Ramon noodles.
 

COLLECTION CENTER: Please remember to collect various ink cartridges and electronic equipment for the LWML; food and household supplies for South Tulsa Community House; various labels for ECC (check out the collection center for a list); various coupons for the military; eye glasses for MOST Ministries. All these items can be dropped off at the collection center at the south entrance.
