DR. PAUL MAIER VISITS CTR on April 22-24. There will be a presentation on Islam & Christianity on April 22 at 7 pm with a reception following; one on Archaeology & the Bible on April 23 at 9:00. Admission is free and childcare is provided. Dr. Maier will also teach a Bible study in the sanctuary on Sunday, April 24.

CONFIRMATION SUNDAY is April 24 at the late service. Parish Life will serve a light brunch open to the congregation following the early service in honor of the confirmands. The confirmands are Blake Apfelbacher, Max Baumann, Elise Burmeister, James Carson, Caroline King, Daniel Fitzgerald, Emma Lemons, Drew Mabrey, Ainsley McFarlin, Megan and Michael Merrill, Molly Wilkening, Lanie Witt. There will be no adult class in the fellowship hall. You are invited to join Dr. Maier’s class in the sanctuary.

REPORTS FOR THE CONGREGATIONAL MEETING are due next Sunday, May 1, for the meeting to be held on Sunday, May 15, at 12 pm. E-mail your report to connie.phillips@ctrtulsa.org. The meeting will also include a potluck following the late service. All families are asked to bring a dish to share. Please plan to attend.

VBS OCEAN COMMOTION will be June 20-24 from 9-12:00 for children completing preschool 3 through grade 5 in May 2016. Get ready for a boatload of excitement at Ocean Commotion!

SPRING CLOTHING DRIVE for Harvest House takes place in April. Clean out your closets and bring your gently used clothing or small household items (or brand new items) to church for the clients of Harvest House. This outreach ministry to our local community is right down the street and items donated by members of CTR are always well-received and greatly appreciated!

GLENPOOL SPRING MARKET sponsored by King of Kings will be April 23 from 10-4 pm at the Glenpool Conference Center. A suggested door donation of $1 will benefit Camp Lutherhoma. Eric the Balloonman will be there from 10:30-12:30 to entertain the kids.

CALL DAY: Erik Christensen, our seminary student, will be receiving his Call on April 26 from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. The Call service begins at 7 pm and the list of assignments will be available on their website shortly after the service. Please keep him and all the graduates in your prayers.

ECC ANNUAL AUCTION will be April 30th at the Stokely Center from 6-10 pm. We would love to have your support by attending or donating items or a bottle of your favorite wine for our wine pull. Tickets are $30 for individual/$50 couple. Dinner, music, and live auction will entertain you all night! You can purchase tickets at ECC office or online at eccauction.eventzilla.net. Come support the ECC!

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY: St. Bernard’s will start building for Habitat on April 23. They are in need of volunteers for April 26-29 and May 3-6 from 8:30-4:00. You can volunteer by going to thfh.vounteerhub.com or emailing Tabitha Shinn at tshinn@tulsahabitat.org or 918-808-6205. Please notify Howard Seigfreid once you are registered at hseigfreid@cox.net or 918-252-1406.

CAMP ACCELERATE will also be held again this year at CTR during the week of July 25. This is for youth entering K in the fall and entering 7th grade in the fall. Sign up today with DCE Suzanne. The cost of the week-long camp is a non-refundable fee of $35.

OWLS will meet on May 11 at 11:30 at the Royal Dragon (51st St. west of Memorial). This is the last meeting until September. The speaker will be Jerry Isaacs, a decorated retired Tulsa police officer and currently the Security Director at Oral Roberts University. A sign up is available. Join us for fun and fellowship.

SOUTH TULSA COMMUNITY HOUSE: We are in great need of just about everything “canned,” as well as other proteins such as dried beans, peanut butter, meat based soups. We also need clean and labels removed prescription bottles which we use to distribute shampoo, body wash/soap and the like. They request that you not donate any Ramon noodles.

COLLECTION CENTER: Please remember to collect various ink cartridges and electronic equipment for the LWML; food and household supplies for South Tulsa Community House; various labels for ECC (check out the collection center for a list); various coupons for the military; eye glasses for MOST Ministries. All these items can be dropped off at the collection center at the south entrance.

SOUTH TULSA COMMUNITY HOUSE: We are in great need of just about everything “canned,” as well as other proteins such as dried beans, peanut butter, meat based soups. We also need clean and labels removed prescription bottles which we use to distribute shampoo, body wash/soap and the like. They request that you not donate any Ramon noodles.
COLLECTION CENTER: Please remember to collect various ink cartridges and electronic equipment for the LWML; food and household supplies for South Tulsa Community House; various labels for ECC (check out the collection center for a list); various coupons for the military; eye glasses for MOST Ministries. All these items can be dropped off at the collection center at the south entrance.

CTR-U continues with Jonah taught by Joshua Brakhage on Wednesday nights from 5:30-6:30 in the Fellowship Hall. This class will continue through March 30. In April we will have a Interest Session on the 6th and a new class offered the 13th, 20th and 27th. Confirmation is taught in the Library by DCE Watt from 5:30-6:30 and continues through April 27. The Men’s and Women’s small groups continue to meet from 5:30-6:30 in the Bridal Room and Youth Room respectively. Faith Friends for grades K-5 is offered in the Gym.
There is NO CTR-U on March 16 or 23 due to Spring Break and Holy Week.
