SUNDAY IS THE LAST CHANCE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FEBRUARY CTR-U CRAFT CLASS which will be held on February 7 at 5:30. It is a Valentine wall hanging. Sign up at the display in the narthex. The class is limited to 12 participants and will cost $7.00.
  
SOUP FOR SUPER BOWL SUNDAY: Members are asked to bring cans of soup in support of South Tulsa Community House for Super Bowl Sunday, February 4! Show your support for those less fortunate!! SOUTH TULSA COMMUNITY HOUSE also has a need for clean styrofoam or paper egg cartoons.  Please drop off any donations to the cart at the south entrance.
 
MITE BOX SUNDAY is Sunday.
SENIOR FRIENDS will meet for lunch on February 11 at the Olive Garden on Memorial.
BRAILLE WORKSHOP is February 12 at 9:00 at Our Savior.
BUNKO will be February 13 at 7:00 at the church with hostess Cherry Volberding. Please sign up.
ASH WEDNESDAY service is February 14 at 7:00. The youth will be serving a meal at 6:00.

LWR/THRIVENT WORKDAY: Volunteers are invited to join  the ladies for a workday putting together fabric and personal care kits on Tuesday at 1:00. Two Thrivent grants have been used to purchase materials needed, however, personal donations are welcome. Items needed are: bath-sized towels, 4 oz soap, tooth brushes, large heavy duty combs, combination file/clippers, large spools of thread and 3-yard lengths of fabric. Come join them for this service project!!
 
THE ANNUAL CTR WOMEN’S RETREAT is March 2-4 at Camp Lutherhoma. This year’s theme is “Sip, Savor and Drink Deeply.” Cost is $75 and includes programming, activities, lodging and meals. Open to all CTR women 21 and over and their friends. Space is limited. Contact DCE Suzanne to register or for more details.
 
FATHER-DAUGHTER DINNER is February 17. All fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, and fathers-in-law are welcome with their daughters! Cost is $25 per couple and $5 each additional person. This year’s theme is “Girl’s Rock!” so get ready for a fun night of dinner, desserts and dancing! Tickets for sale beginning January 21.

LUTHERAN COMFORT DOG COMES TO CTR! Outreach Ministry is bringing Rufus, the Oklahoma Lutheran Comfort Dog to visit children’s and adult CTR Sunday school classes on February 11 as well as in the narthex area before and after late service to meet members. His handler will tell us Rufus’ story and answer questions about how and when Rufus and other comfort dogs are bringing people love, mercy and compassion, visiting in times of need across the United States. Our current quarter Sunday school offering is going to support this “human care” ministry.
 
CHILI-COOK OFF is February 25 at 5:00. Sign up today to enter to win the Best Chili Contest! Games and BINGO will be available for all ages as well as a cake give-away. The youth band will perform. Bring your loose change and bills to vote for the best chili. Proceeds will go to purchase toiletry items for the veterans in our area. Donations of toiletry items are requested as well.

INCREDIBLE LOCK-IN (6th-12th grade) Feb. 18-19, 2018. The regional LCMS youth lock-in at Incredible Pizza is February 18-19 and open to Jr High & High School students.  RSVP and $30 non-refundable payment due no later than February 4 to attend. All Tulsa area LCMS churches are invited to attend and you can bring a friend as well. To attend please return your $30 and submit a 2018 medical/permission form.
 
OK’D IN CHRIST (9th-12th grade) March 9-11, 2018. The Oklahoma District High School Youth Gathering will be March 9-11 at the Embassy Suites in Norman, OK. Early registration is $100 and due February 4 afterwards the price goes up to $135. Friends invited to attend as well! Cost includes programming, travel, hotel, meals and a t-shirt! This year’s band is The Homesteaders and the speaker is Gabe Kaspar who has previously worked with the National Youth Gathering! To attend please complete the form and return it with a $100 non-refundable deposit.
 
YOUTH FORMS: All forms are now downloadable on the youth page of the CTR website. The 2018 Permission/Medical form is good for the entire year as long as your insurance and medical information does not change. This must be returned BEFORE a student attends any trip or youth event in 2018.
 
Mark your calendars for Camp Out Winter VBS on February 2-4th! Does your child look forward to VBS each year? Come February, does your family start to have Cabin Fever? Then join us for Camp Out Winter VBS on February 2-4th. Children three years old to fifth grade will learn s’more about Jesus, while their parents can attend fellowship and Bible Study hosted by John and Erin Busch from Camp Lutherhoma!
