VBS OCEAN COMMOTION will be June 20-24 from 9-12:00 for children completing preschool 3 through grade 5 in May 2016. Get ready for a boatload of excitement at Ocean Commotion! Please drop them off at the “VBS Headquarters” in the Narthex: 125- clean, empty clear soda or water bottles with caps. Other items needed can be found at the display in the narthex.

SUNDAY SCHOOL ACTIVITY LEADERS are needed for the summer quarter for youth preschool-5th grade. The theme is Basic Elements – Science Inspired/Christian Focused. If you are interested or have any questions check out the display in the narthex or contact Kayla KuehnertHOLY LAND TRIP MEETING: Anyone interested in traveling to the Holy Land with Pastor in January/February, 2017, plan to attend an information meeting following the late service on Sunday.

ECC SPRING PROGRAM & GRADUATION is Friday, May 27, at 9:30. The congregation is invited to attend and enjoy the reception following.

 
CAMP ACCELERATE will also be held again this year at CTR during the week of July 25. This is for youth entering K in the fall and entering 7th grade in the fall. Sign up today with DCE Suzanne. The cost of the week-long camp is a non-refundable fee of $35.
For Accelerate Day Camp we need: Adults or High School aged youth to assist with activities. Programming will be from 8:30-3PM on Monday-Thursday and until 12:30 PM on Friday. Volunteers will serve as “Assistant Counselors” helping with the groups, set up and clean up snacks and crafts, assist with set up of activities for the Camp Lutherhoma Staff. Please register for these positions in person or via email with DCE Suzanne.
  We will also need host homes to house the Lutherhoma staff for that week.
Ideally, homes that could house 2 or more staff Sunday-Friday (5 nights). We will also be asking for donations or hosts to feed the staff lunch (on site at CTR) and dinner each day. Please speak with DCE Suzanne for more info on housing and meals for the Camp staff.
 

LUTHERANISM 101 will be offered by Pastor on June 8-15-22 & 29 at 6:00 pm for anyone wishing a refresher course or someone who is interested in joining CTR. If you are interested or know someone who might be, please contact Pastor or the church office.
 
SOAP DONATIONS are needed for LWR (4 oz deodorant bars). Donations can be brought to the display in the narthex during the month of May.

SENIOR FRIENDS will meet for lunch on Sunday at Tazikis 71st and Yale.

CTR-U will be suspending classes and activities until September 7. If you’d like to see a particular Bible study or class or would like to start up a group on your own, please contact DCE Suzanne.

CAMP REBATE: The CTR Camp Lutherhoma Rebate is available for CTR youth attending summer camp at Lutherhoma. Rebates are offered to individual campers who are participating (attending church, Bible study &/or confirmation, youth activities, etc.) members of CTR for one camp session per person per the 2016 summer season. Please fill out one form per camper. Remember to send your registration to Camp Lutherhoma as soon as possible. When you receive your registration confirmation attach a copy to the rebate form and return it to Christ the Redeemer in the Lay Ministry of Youth drawer in the Volunteer Office. The amount of the rebate will depend on how many youth apply by June 1 but will not exceed 50% of your costs and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. Forms submitted after June 1 will be considered with any funds that remain. Please check the April or May edition of the CTR Cornerstone newsletter for a copy of the rebate form. SOUTH TULSA COMMUNITY HOUSE:

We are in great need of just about everything “canned,” as well as other proteins such as dried beans, peanut butter, meat based soups. We also need clean and labels removed prescription bottles which we use to distribute shampoo, body wash/soap and the like. They request that you not donate any Ramon noodles.

COLLECTION CENTER:

Please remember to collect various ink cartridges and electronic equipment for the LWML; food and household supplies for South Tulsa Community House; various labels for ECC (check out the collection center for a list); various coupons for the military; eye glasses for MOST Ministries. All these items can be dropped off at the collection center at the south entrance.
